Corner House

The site of this housing project is located at a busy crossroad, the ‘Tiensevest’. The biggest obstacles were the small surface and the small gap in the corner of the plot.

The small surface made it necessary to work in levels. Outside at ground level, space is provided for bikes to park. The living space starts at ground level, but cooking and dining happens on the first floor. The overhanging windows provide enough space for two people to sit and read a book or enjoy the view.

At the second floor the bed is placed inside the window in the same way as the overhanging window on the first floor. Perfect oriented for magnificent sunrises over the park.
