The need for more storage and the possibility to use a CNC-machine led to the design of this screwless bookshelf. The specific placement in the appartement and the maximum size of the panels were the most important design restrictions.

After the decision of the global shape came the hardest part. Connecting the different parts together in a logical and structural way was important to ensure a stable shelving system. The outcome was first tested on a small scale model to ensure this stability and potential mistakes. The 18mm thick plywood-panels make for sturdy shelves and strong enough to form a solid structure.

The result of the design is a screwless bookshelf that can be (re)assembled at any time. The extra slots in the vertical shelf make different configurations possible.
